After a previous very wet winter our client wanted to create some access pathways so that their alpacas could move between paddocks and housing without trampling through wet clay. First the clay was excavated and a base layer of large Fittleworth stone was laid on a geotextile. We then laid a finer layer of Fittleworth stone over the surface to bind the pathways. Hardstandings were also created in front of gates and field shelters.
