Working on behalf of B&E Services, we were appointed to deliver the complete groundworks package for the exciting new PAW Patrol Land at Chessington World of Adventures. This major redevelopment transformed an existing area of the park into a fully themed family attraction, featuring four new rides, extensive infrastructure, and a large retail building.
The project commenced with the demolition and removal of the substantial concrete foundations associated with the former Runaway Train attraction. This enabled the site to be cleared and prepared for the construction of the new themed land, requiring extensive excavation and enabling works before the main construction phase could begin.
Over a programme spanning more than a year, our team delivered a comprehensive package of civil engineering and groundwork works. Key elements included the installation of a new drainage network incorporating attenuation storage and flow control systems, alongside thousands of metres of service ducting to support the complex electrical and communications infrastructure required across the development.
To facilitate the construction of the new attractions, piling platforms were formed and foundation works undertaken, including reinforced concrete pile caps and ground beams. Our scope also extended to extensive external works, comprising new pathways, asphalt surfacing and landscaping, helping to bring the themed environment to life.
With over 40 years of experience working at Chessington World of Adventures, our team was well positioned to overcome the challenges associated with a heavily developed site. This knowledge proved invaluable when encountering unknown underground services, legacy infrastructure, and unforeseen obstructions, enabling solutions to be developed quickly and safely while maintaining programme momentum.
Delivered within a live operational resort environment, the project demanded exceptional teamwork, flexibility, and commitment from everyone involved. Through close collaboration with B&E Services and the wider project team, key programme milestones were achieved, culminating in the successful delivery of a high-quality attraction that will be enjoyed by families for years to come.
PAW Patrol Land stands as another proud example of our ability to deliver complex groundworks and infrastructure projects within some of the UK’s most demanding and high-profile visitor attractions.
